Our Founder

Master Barry Benton

Master Barry Benton is a 4th Degree Black Belt in Modified Tae Kwon Do Karate and has dedicated over 20 years to teaching martial arts in Houston. His approach goes beyond physical training—he emphasizes mental and emotional growth, preparing students for life’s challenges as well as self-defense.

Under his guidance, students build confidence, discipline, and perseverance, and many have achieved State Championships in Kata, Sparring, and Weapons, with two honored with the prestigious Golden Greek Award.

Barry’s Martial Arts competes in AOK and TKO tournaments several times a year, and students have the opportunity to rank up every three months, advancing on their path to Black Belt.

Master Barry’s excellence has been recognized as East Region Instructor of the Year (2008–2012) by the Amateur Organization of Karate (AOK).
